The LM2596/LM2596HV is a PWM DC-DC buck regulator with a fixed frequency of 150 kHz.It features a 3A output current capability, high efficiency, low ripple, and excellent linearity in both line and load regulation. The chip uses PWM modulation, allowing the duty cycle to be adjusted linearly in the range of 0-100%. The LM2596/LM2596HV integrates a fixed-frequency oscillator and a frequency compensation module, making it very easy to use with minimal external components. Supply current with no load is 40uA and drops to <1uA in shutdown.
