The Polar Bidirectional TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diode is a versatile electronic component designed to protect sensitive circuits from transient voltage spikes and surges in both directions. Featuring a VRWM (Working Peak Reverse Voltage) of 6.5V, this diode is effective for bidirectional transient voltage suppression applications. It has a VBR (Breakdown Voltage) range from 7.22V (minimum) to 7.98V (maximum), ensuring reliable clamping of voltages exceeding these thresholds in either polarity. With an Ir (Reverse Leakage Current) of 250μA, the diode maintains low standby power consumption. It can handle peak pulse currents (Ipp) of up to 17.9A for 10/1000μs pulses, and offers a low clamping voltage (VC) of 11.2V. Additionally, it boasts a Ppp (Peak Pulse Power) rating of 200W for 10/1000μs pulses, effectively dissipating transient power to protect connected electronics.
