Mr. Yang Heng, born in the 1980s in Bazhong, Sichuan, hails from Lianghekou Town, Tongjiang County—the first foothold of the Red Army upon entering Sichuan. Immersed in stories of his hometown’s revolutionary legacy from a young age, he developed a deep sense of patriotism. He calls himself the "Handsome Ant," symbolizing that even someone as small as an ant can harbor grand dreams, provided they exert extraordinary effort. The word "handsome" embodies his stubborn confidence.

Yang’s journey reflects this tenacity: Graduating from Sichuan Conservatory of Music in 2006, he began entrepreneurship in 2007, starting as a frontline salesman. From Shanghai to Shenzhen, he ventured into hardware, plastics, and catering before focusing on electronics and manufacturing. Over two decades, he built his enterprise from scratch, weathering storms to create a thriving business, a loyal team, and a happy family.

"My guiding principle is this: True cognition stems from inner cultivation, self-awareness without reminders, freedom within boundaries, and kindness that considers others." Yang emphasizes that character outweighs business acumen. "Both life and business must follow the ‘Great Way’—an invisible moral force. I prioritize integrity, ethics, and inner quality in people, as these are the foundation of everything."

Acknowledging his unconventional management style, Yang says, "I’m not a perfect manager—my strong sense of camaraderie and idealism sometimes clash with corporate norms. But this authenticity is why so many have chosen to trust and follow me."

Yang spends over 300 days a year traveling, logging 200,000 kilometers in flights—more than some flight attendants. Though he dislikes the grueling schedule, he finds fulfillment in self-improvement. A devout Buddhist, he visits temples during trips and recites sutras in Sanskrit. An avid reader, he finishes at least three books monthly, taking notes and writing reflections. Since 2009, he has pursued advanced studies at top business schools like Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Fudan University, dedicating 80% of his time to learning. "Knowledge is invaluable, but I apply theories cautiously. A company isn’t a lab—it’s like a high dive; fewer moves mean safer execution," he explains.

Shangge, meaning "Noble Virtues Like Water, Lofty Aspirations," embodies the ethos of nurturing all without contention. Founded in 2018, Shangge Industrial is a core local agent for over 40 domestic first-tier chip brands, specializing in embedded systems, communication modules, positioning chips, analog devices, and power components. It serves 10,000 clients, including industry leaders like GigaDevice, Kinghelm, Quectel, Youtai, Shangyun, Jianghai, CR Micro, Slkor, and more.

In 2024, Shangge Industrial reported total revenue of RMB 1.35 billion, with core business income at RMB 1.15 billion, maintaining a 50% annual growth rate. Headquartered in Shenzhen, it operates six subsidiaries and three investment firms, including Shenzhen Shangge Yundun Electronics, Shenzhen Shanghua New Energy Technology, and Shenzhen Shangyun Sensing Technology. With 30 offices across China and over 160 staff, Shangge aims to become an industrial IoT platform, focusing on controllers, wireless data transmission, connectors, mobile energy storage, and sensors.

"My dream is rooted in industry, hometown pride, and patriotism. I want to give back to Sichuan and society," says Yang. Shangyun Sensing Technology, a subsidiary established in May 2022, specializes in temperature, humidity, and gas sensors. With 400 employees, it has relocated twice due to rapid expansion. Yang is scouting sites nationwide and hopes to establish factories in Sichuan to boost local development.

"What’s the secret behind Shangge’s seven-year streak of 50% growth?"* Yang answers: "99% of my earnings are reinvested into R&D. This cycle sustains profitability and allows us to contribute to society." A native of Sichuan, he anonymously sponsors 40-50 underprivileged students, sending monthly stipends and handwritten letters. "Their letters are treasures," he says, showing boxes of correspondence.
